Purpose
Our Philosophy
“To enable men and women of all ages to come to know Jesus Christ more fully and intimately through the careful study of God’s Word.”
We believe that regular, Spirit-inspired, verse-by-verse study is the way God reveals Himself to His children. Calvary Chapel is a Bible-based ministry where the Bible is our final authority in all we do and believe. At CCBC, believers can study the Word of God, adore Jesus in worship, serve Him in love, and get to know Him intimately. If our students know Jesus better when they leave the Bible College than they did when they came, we have achieved our goal, and the ministry is a success. We believe all Christian service and activity is secondary to knowing God personally. Relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the essence of Christianity. Therefore, our goal is to know Him better every hour of every day. Many believers are at a point in their lives where they desire to be immersed in verse-by-verse Bible study in order to grow individually and to find their places of service within the Body of Christ. CCBC provides a place where Christians can sit at the feet of Jesus, learning, growing, and building a solid biblical foundation for a lifetime of service.
Our Accreditation
CCBC RSM has decided not to seek accreditation so as to remain free from outside control and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We have an agreement with Calvary Chapel Bible College Murrieta that is recognizes CCBC as a unique, unaccredited, independent, religious-exempt institution that offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies and an Associate’s Degree in Theology under the Bureau for Private Post Secondary and Vocational Education (School Code: 3602671). Though the Bible College is unaccredited, many other Bible colleges will accept credit from CCBC based on the integrity of the Calvary Chapel ministries and the history and reputation of our graduates. The following is a list of accredited institutions that have accepted certain transfer credits from Calvary Chapel Bible College. They have reserved the right not to accept certain credits, as they deem appropriate. If you have specific questions about transferability of credits, call the Registrar’s Office of the institution you desire to attend.

Our History
Calvary Chapel Bible College was founded in 1975 as a short, intensive study program, part of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa’s overall vision to equip the people of God for His service. Over the years, the ministry has grown and developed -through God’s provision – into a college that offers an Associate in Theology, and a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. In 1997, Calvary Chapel Rancho Santa Margarita, under the direction of Senior Pastor Gary Kusunoki, established an extension campus to meet the congregation’s growing need for a collegiate setting for those led to pursue further study of the Word of God. We now are under the direction of Pastor John Kanno who continues to emphasize the need for rich discipleship as provided by the school. We have remained true to the initial vision to provide a place for serious, committed Christians to learn of God and draw close to Jesus.
Our Affiliation
CCBC of Rancho Santa Margarita is an extension campus of our main campus in Murrieta California, which is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and Senior Pastor Chuck Smith.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Calvary Chapel Bible College is to provide a place where believers can study the Word of God and come to know Jesus more intimately. Our hope is that all students who attend CCBC will know Jesus better at the end of each class than they did at the beginning.
Ministry Opportunities
Known for its beautiful beaches, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions, the opportunities for ministry and spiritual growth in Southern California far outweigh the area’s physical and geographic attributes. With a thriving Christian community and 10 other Calvary Chapels in the area, the opportunities to practically apply your academic studies are virtually boundless. Ministry opportunities range from the multi-ethnic North County to the shores of San Clemente – we are in a rich area for ministry! A short-term missions experience is as close as Mexico (about an hour drive), and our City is perfect for street witnessing at our Lake or community center!
