We will look at the book from both dispensational and covenential perspectives. We will consider the various views on the creation week and study the flood and the development of the nations. The student will also discover the fulfillment of God's promise to Abram in the Cross. (Carr)

6pm-8pm Emerging Church -- The emerging or emergent church has recently become a sensation within evangelical Christianity. An emphasis is placed on returning to ancient teachings, practices, and experiences to provide an example of what today’s church in the post modern era should be like. But what of these teachings and practices? Are they fostering a commitment to Jesus Christ and Biblical Christianity or are they, in spite of many good intentions, developing a brand of Christianity that is rife with dangerous doctrines, mystical experiences and one that leads away from Jesus Christ as the foundation of the church and the Bible as the authority for life and practice? (Evans)

Thursday

9am-12pm

Missions -- Neal Pirolo

Mobilizing the Church — The Great Commission was given to the Church. This Course will provide practical guidelines to assist the Church in developing a "grass-roots" involvement in the awesome task of Go! Preach! Go! Teach! But nothing GOOD just happens! Anyone can watch a mushroom grow up overnight; yet, with a flick of a finger one can knock it down the next day. An oak tree may take some time to grow, but when it matures, do not try to knock it down! We want to "grow oak tree" Church involvement in cross-cultural outreach.
Internationals Who Live Among Us — God has brought the internationals of the world to the doorsteps of every church. A giant still untapped field of cross-cultural ministry lies in the thousands of internationals who live among us. This Course will expose the student to opportunities and how to minister among nine different types of internationals. Ministering in local cross-cultural outreach offers tremendous opportunity to mobilize the Church.

6pm-9pm

Missions -- Neal Pirolo

Personal Involvement in Cross-Cultural Outreach Ministry — In a trilogy of topics, the student will be given practical training in the going and sending aspects of cross-cultural ministry.
For Those Who Go — Who's good enough to go? But I don't feel called! Now why did I do that? Cultural adaptation in four perspectives. Servant-leader. The heart of one who goes.
Serving As Senders — Profile of a sending church. The need for a team. Building a team. Six areas of team involvement.
Prepare For Battle — Understanding war on two levels, spiritual armor, spiritual weapons, attitude toward war, tactics of the enemy, spiritual authority, principles of war and strategies for battlefield living will prepare the student for the spiritual warfare encountered in cross-cultural ministry.

6pm-9pm Gospel of John -- Survey of the theological impact of the Gospel of John. Students will study the Gospel by an in-depth look at the Person and Work of Jesus Christ through John's portrayal of Him in His deity as the Son of God. (Schultz)
6pm-9pm Mission to Muslims -- A study of Isalm: its background, claims, teachings, traditions and eschatology in the light of the Old and New Testament. The student will develop a good understanding of the Muslim and his god and how he differs from the God of the Bible. A thorough study of the Koran and other Islamic sacred writings will be pursued so that the student will be able to apply his understanding in leading Muslims to Christ. (Dolan)
